Michael Robitaille, of Lisbon Falls, Maine, is serving as the High Priest and Prophet for Kora Shrine. Michael was raised a Master Mason in Ancient York Lodge No. 155 in Lisbon Falls, Maine in 2004. He is currently serving as the Lodge Secretary and has been the Worshipful Master in 22011, 2012, 2014, and 2016.
In 1983, Michael started his career as a Firefighter when he joined the Lisbon Falls Fire Company. In 1987 he became a career firefighter for the Town of Brunswick and in 1991 he attained the rank of Paramedic. In September of 2001 he was promoted to the rank of Operations Deputy Chief for Brunswick. In 2004, he was appointed to the position of Deputy Chief of EMS / Training for the Town of Yarmouth and in 2012 he was appointed as the Chief of Department.
As a Maine State Fire Instructor since June 1995, Michael has taught over 200 programs throughout the state. He serves as a adjunct instructor for the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Michael was awarded the Maine State Fire Instructor of the Year in 1998.
Michael married his high school sweetheart Lolita in 1986 and they have three children: Joseph, Alyson, and Ryan. Both of his sons are volunteer firefighters, and his daughter is a registered nurse. The joys of Michael and Lolita’s lives are their three grandchildren: Lenna, Addyson, and Kirk Jr.
Michael has been the recipient of several awards during his time in public safety. He has been awarded multiple unit citations, firefighter of the year, fire officer of the year, lifesaving award, and the Medal of Valor. In 2021 he was awarded the Fire Chief of the Year by the Maine Fire Chiefs Association.
His interests include clowning, Crossfit, and fishing at camp. He enjoys vacationing annually with his wife in a sunny destination usually in the Caribbean.
