New Kora Konnection Guidelines
January 24, 2025

To enhance the quality, readability, and overall impact of the Kora Konnections newsletter, we have introduced a set of submission guidelines designed to streamline content and make the newsletter more valuable to everyone. We understand that these updates may require some adjustments, but by implementing these changes, we aim to create a more engaging, concise, and focused newsletter experience for all members, ladies, and supporters.

By following these guidelines, we can ensure that each issue of Kora Konnections highlights the most important updates, events, and announcements in a clear and accessible format. This will allow everyone to easily stay informed about what matters most, without feeling overwhelmed by lengthy content.

  1. Word Count:
    • Each submission must be a maximum of 200 words to maintain brevity and readability.
  2. Submission Deadline:
    • All submissions must be received by midnight on Saturday to be included in the newsletter for the following week.
  3. Content Sections: Submissions must fit within one of the four content sections:
    • Patient Spotlight: Limited to one entry per issue. Submissions should highlight individual stories related to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
    • Shrine Events: Announcements and details about upcoming Kora Shrine events.
    • Raffle, Fundraisers, & Community Events: Information and promotion of current or upcoming fundraisers and community events.
    • Other News & Updates: News or updates happening within the local community or other updates relevant to the Kora Shrine.
  4. Images:
    • Each submission may include one image, and all images must be in landscape layout to ensure consistency in formatting.
  5. Call-to-Actions:
    • A submission may contain up to two call-to-actions (e.g., buttons or links) to guide readers towards specific actions or event details.
  6. Duration of Inclusion:
    • Submissions will be featured in the newsletter for a maximum of four weeks. After four weeks, submissions will be automatically removed. Submitters may submit a new entry if they wish for the information to be included again.
  7. Editing:
    • The editorial team reserves the right to edit any submission for clarity, grammar, or length to ensure consistency and maintain newsletter quality.
